Points of View
Shortly after meeting Italian director Pepi Romagnoli at the Filmfestival Marseille, I was commisioned to write the music for her latest project called ‘Punti di Vista’. The documentary already earned recognition at the LA Indie Filmfest. Objective
As a composer, I had the opportunity to collaborate on the film "Points of View," directed by Pepi Romagnoli, to create an evocative score that would enhance the storytelling and emotional depth of the biography. Our initial objective was clear: to compose music that would effectively convey the complex emotions and experiences of Mihai, the homeless Romanian protagonist, and inspire empathy and connection among the audience.
To tackle this challenge, I began by conducting extensive research into the film's narrative, its characters, and the key themes it aimed to explore. Understanding the essence of Mihai's journey, from his struggles and relationships to his moments of hope and despair, was crucial in developing a musical solution that would resonate with viewers.
Through this careful exploration, I crafted a score that underscored the film's emotional arcs and enriched the storytelling, ensuring that each piece of music contributed to the film's overall impact and left a lasting impression on the audience.
Solution
For the film "Points of View," directed by Pepi Romagnoli, I composed a series of evocative and emotionally rich musical scores that underscored the intricate narrative and character development.
